Who We Are
Our Mission is a non-profit organization formed in Dutchess County, NY in 2019 after the death of our beloved family member and friend, Melinda Lasher. Melinda was struggling with drug addiction and unfortunately lost her battle due to an overdose laced with fentanyl. She left behind an eight-month-old daughter and many other relatives and friends. After her passing, we formed Our Mission as a community for addicts and their loved ones to connect and share resources. Shortly after, we proposed Melinda's Law to hold drug dealers to a higher degree of accountability for the deaths they cause and create awareness for justice that families deserve.
What we do
Encourage Storytelling
#OurMission
We provide a safe space for addicts and their loved ones to share their stories of addiction. We encourage addicts to recount their battles with substance abuse while supporting loved ones who open up about the affect addiction has had on their lives.
Promote Resources
#AwarenessForJustice
We share information to help improve the quality of life of addicts, their children, and their loved ones. We connect them with resources regarding rehabilitation, treatment centers, shelters, food pantries, clothing drives, job fairs, and recovery events.

Support Recovery
#KeepMovingForward
We reach out to people with inspiring quotes and encouraging words to facilitate healthy conversations. We strive toward recovery in every aspect of our organization and we invite you to lend your support in creating a safer future for everyone.
"If you make a mistake, no matter what, correct the error and keep moving forward."
